Skywalk Arak Air 2
Light, versatile, and powerful EN-B paraglider
HOW DOES THE ARAK AIR2 FLY?
Launch
Thanks to the user-friendly line setup, both launch preparation and ground handling are effortless. The wing rises smoothly and steadily during inflation, without any risk of uncontrolled overshooting – ensuring a safe, relaxed, and precise takeoff.
Handling
The ARAK AIR 2 has been designed as a Mid-B wing, offering increased aspect ratio compared to the ARAK 2, resulting in even stronger performance. At the same time, we have maintained the sporty and direct handling of its predecessor. The initially light brake pressure in- creases linearly, allowing for precise control of bank angles, from relaxed to dynamic.
Thanks to its balanced flight characteristics and agile handling, the ARAK AIR 2 covers a wide weight range, making it highly versatile. Pilots who enjoy a more dynamic flying experience can fly the wing above the recommended weight range, unlocking even sharper handling. In weaker thermal conditions, the wing requires a bit more finesse but rewards pilots with maximum flying fun. Those who prefer a smoother and more relaxed flight experience will find the lower weight range ideal.
With its intuitive handling and precise feedback, the ARAK AIR 2 gives pilots maximum control and safety—delivering a relaxed, secure, and at the same time exhilarating flying experience.
Performance
With its refined flight characteristics and intuitive handling, the ARAK AIR 2 delivers impressive performance with ease. The SPEED CONTROL system now enables precise wing control, even in accelerated flight, directly via the C-risers.
Compared to its predecessor, the ARAK AIR 2 benefits from an optimized design and advanced manufacturing techniques, resulting in significantly enhanced performance – while maintaining a fun and more compact handling! Additionally, passive safety has been further improved. Its forgiving climb behavior enables effortless and efficient thermaling, even in challenging conditions – ensuring a relaxed yet high-performance flying experience.
Extreme Flight
The ARAK AIR 2 features highly manageable and forgiving flight characteristics during extreme flight maneuvers. Compared to its predecessor, its behavior in extreme flight is even easier to handle.
Information for SIV training:
B-Stall is easy to perform. Therefore the B-lines should be grabbed above the line shackles for optimal control. Full stalls are easier to fly compared to the predecessor, the wing stalls flat over wingspan.
Deep spirals remain highly controllable and predictable.
Packing
Thanks to its clever material combination, the ARAK AIR 2 packs down extremely compact. The rigid plastic rods in the leading edge should be handled with care during packing to prevent bending or kinking of the Rigid Foils. However, since these rods are relatively short, a special Tubebag is not required.
The remaining reinforcements are made from high-quality Nitinol, which is highly resistant to kinking and further enhances the optimized pack volume!
